I'd like to start this blog to put my view of Aegis out there. It will include patches, events and any IC jobs I hold. I will try not to criticize too much, but some things need to be. I'd like to have my first post be about the Undead taking over Al'khazar.
As you all probably know by now, there was a server event late Sunday night. I personally feel that this event was done horribly. Firstly, nobody had a chance to get their things and get out of there. For the most part, people were hiding in random buildings or fighting. Once that broadcast about "Leaving now or dying" I just got my stuff and booked it. I know that most people did not and chose to keep fighting until the actual curse was put on the city. I know that it should show the undead taking over the world, but this event shoulder have happened the day before the new world comes out. People had buisnesses and things in Alk that were destroyed and they lost a lot of Mina in the process. Maybe some warnings before the event started would have been nice? I dont know... Maybe just a broadcast in OOC saying something like: ((Note: At the end of event, you will not be allowed to enter Al'khazar with out a price.)). Just a suggestion.
On another note, I would like to congratulate Vaq and the staff on a great patch 1.7 and 1.71. Great transition from 1.8 to the full release of minecraft. THe new game mechanics looks great so far and I really hope more come. The whole mob changing idea is really cool and the alchemy should be great. I hope that the new world puts all these mechanics to great use. Sorry for that "rant" earlier but I had to. :)
See you all around Aegis
